BIOETHANOL

What is Bioethanol

Bioethanol is a biological alcohol of plant origin. It is produced from plant substances used as bio-fuels (or plant fuels).

It is an energy source of plant origin that belongs to the renewable energy family. Plants that contain sucrose (beet root, sugar cane) or starch (wheat, corn) can be converted into bioethanol, obtained by fermenting the sugar extracted from the sugar plants or through enzymatic hydrolysis of starch contained in cereals.

With new technologies, bioethanol can also be obtained from harvest waste and thus the cost will progressively lower, increasing its convenience.

Generally, a litre of bio-alcohol is sufficient to burn a fire for 3 – 6 hours (depending on burner adjustment).
