It is produced from plant substances used as bio-fuels (or plant fuels).<\/p>\n<p>It is an energy source of<strong> plant origin<\/strong> that belongs to the renewable energy family. Plants that contain sucrose (beet root, sugar cane) or starch (wheat, corn) can be converted into bioethanol, obtained by <strong>fermenting<\/strong> the sugar extracted from the sugar plants or through enzymatic hydrolysis of starch contained in cereals.<\/p>\n<p>With new technologies, <strong>bioethanol<\/strong> can also be obtained from <strong>harvest waste<\/strong> and thus the cost will progressively lower, increasing its convenience.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, a litre of bio-alcohol is sufficient to burn a fire for <strong>3 \u2013 6 hours<\/strong> (depending on burner adjustment).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>quality<\/strong> of <strong>bio-ethanol<\/strong> is essential for its use in a bio-fireplace, not only for avoiding unpleasant odors, but also for the quality of the <strong>air<\/strong> you breathe.
